Book's Rating: B

The book, dedicated to his wife Heidi is called Onyalum Retribution, and runs a total of 395 pages long. The story is highly science fiction and fantasy and will require some imagination while reading it. Although a math teacher publishing his own book makes some people scratch their head in confusion, once you start reading the book it will not be easy to put down.

The story tells the tale of a drug dealer named Tyler who is living his life and not liking it too much. Suddenly, while making a transaction one night he is "attacked" by a white light, and his consciousness is thrust out of his body and into the abyss of space. Surrounded by a universe full of stars, all he can feel of himself is what he refers to as his awareness. He soon decides he must set himself on a quest to find his old life on Earth and sets out to accomplish his goal which is laden with difficulty and roadblocks.

[The author] does a great job of creating an aura of confusion and suspense in the readers mind and really makes you feel the despair and desperation that Tyler is experiencing. The language is simple yet the story is confusing unless you read the words carefully. The book is a good read for fans of science-fiction/fantasy genre.
