Book selected as Finalist in Book of the Year Award.


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. New author NB VanYoos
(www.nbvanyoos.com) announces his first published work, ONYALUM
RETRIBUTION (ISBN 1-4208-6856-X), is a finalist in the seventh
annual Foreword Magazine Book of the Year Award 2005
(www.forewordmagazine.com/botya/). In their own words:



“ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year Award was established to
bring increased attention from librarians and booksellers to the
literary achievements of independent publishers and their
authors. A jury of librarians, booksellers and reviewers are
selected to judge the categories for entry, and they select
winners and finalists based on editorial excellence and
professional production as well as the originality of the
narrative and the value the book adds to its genre.”

There were 1,540 books submitted for consideration in the 2005
Book of the Year Award. Of those, only 604 were selected as
finalists in 55 categories. Onyalum Retribution is 1 of 14
finalists selected in the Science Fiction category. From these
finalists, a Gold, Silver, and Bronze winner will be selected as
well as one winner for the Editor’s Choice award. All winners
will be announced at the BookExpo America 2006 in the Washington
DC Convention Center on May 19, 2006.
